A Practical Discussion about Winning Work for Your A/E/C Firm: Reflections and Musings on Research and Reality

October 18, 2016
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Spezia
3125 S 72nd Street
Omaha, NE 68124

The SMPS Foundation conducted groundbreaking research in 2015 later published in the document: “Sell. Do. Win Business: A Report on How A|E|C Firms Are Using Staff to Win More Work” released earlier this year. Wally will build on this document and Barbara Shuck’s August presentation of the research results. Using the Seller-Doer and Business Development models as a foundation, we will explore alternative ideas to what the research suggests, and challenge how we apply results to the “typical” A|E|C firm. Recognizing that every firm has existing processes and forms, rather than adding another layer, Wally will provide a framework for participants to “operationalize” the research results into their firms’ culture and business practices.
