Omaha Central Public Library
7205 Dodge Street
Omaha, NE 68114
Join SMPS Nebraska for a behind-the-scenes tour of the newly opened Omaha Central Library, a transformative civic space that’s redefining what a modern public library can be.
Led by project team members from HDR and Alley Poyner Macchieto Architecture, this guided experience will highlight how thoughtful design, community-focused planning, and innovative engineering came together to create a welcoming destination for learning, collaboration, and connection in the heart of Omaha.
We’ll explore a variety of carefully designed spaces, including flexible community areas, technology-rich environments, light-filled reading rooms, and vibrant public gathering zones. Each space reflects a commitment to serving a diverse and evolving community. The tour will also provide insight into key design strategies, sustainability efforts, and the collaboration among project partners that brought this landmark facility to life.
In addition to experiencing one of Omaha’s most significant recent civic projects, participants will have the opportunity to connect with fellow A/E/C marketing and business development professionals in an inspiring setting.
