Program overview

11:00am | Networking

11:30am | Program Start

Why do people make the decisions they do? And, more importantly—as marketers and business developers—how can we effectively influence decision making? The answers to these questions have the potential to transform any business organization—including architecture, engineering, and construction firms.

Over the past few years, the SMPS Foundation has published two research papers with JonRobert Tartaglione of Influence 51, “The Neuropsychology of Influence and Decision Making” and “Theory Into Practice: The Neuropsychology of Influence and Decision-Making.” This workshop builds on the concepts explored in the papers, helping participants dive into and apply practices using different situations they may encounter at their AEC firms. You will walk away with practical and useful ways to apply these concepts to marketing, business development, and communication strategies.

By participating in this interactive workshop, you will:

  • Explore ideas about how to apply neuro concepts to different marketing and business development situations
  • Discover strategies to influence decisions in everyday situations
  •  Learn how to think differently about how you approach your marketing and BD strategies
