PAYMENT POLICY
Your registration will cover attendance at the event at the location noted for that event. Please be sure to check in at the registration desk at the event. Check/Cash registrations must pay at the event. Workshop programs require check/cash registration payments prior to the event. Checks can be mailed to SMPS Nebraska, PO Box 390093, Omaha, NE 68139-0093. When mailing check please include registration confirmation.
Please note the refund policy below. No-shows will receive an invoice after the event. All invoices for no-shows or non-payment at the time of the event will include a $10 invoicing fee and will be due upon receipt.
REFUND POLICY
All sales are final. No refunds unless requested 3 business days prior to an event in writing or by email. Refunds for workshops require notice 5 business days prior to the event in writing or by email. There is a 15% cancellation fee for all refunds. Credits may be issued to be used for future event registrations in lieu of refund.

Practicing Curiosity
Practicing curiosity can be the difference between anxiety and insight, dread and hope, or quiet failure and loud success.
This high-energy 1-hour workshop is intentionally designed to make you think, make you empathize, and help you seriously up your curiosity game. The workshop is designed with two optional break-out sessions, interactive polls, and a challenge at the end to up your game. Good luck napping during this one!
After this workshop…
- You’ll be able to identify and distinguish between two key types of curiosity - one that’s helpful and one that can hurt your work.
- You’ll have a broad understanding of why people are curiosity challenged.
- You’ll be able to describe the detrimental impact of not practicing curiosity on project work.
- And you’ll have pragmatic tools to use immediately to uncover the fears surrounding curiosity– in yourself and others.

About our facilitator
Lisa Roberts Proffitt brings energy and vitality to her team that promotes her professional goal of making everything about the client relationship better. She pulls from numerous experiences, perspectives, and concepts to help those around her understand how processes can be better for all involved. She’s memorized more jargon than she’ll ever remember from engineering, transportation, logistics, media, finance, government, non-profit, and higher education industry work. Pragmatic with a direct communication style, Lisa uses plain language to help teams apply what they learn.
