PAYMENT POLICY
Your registration will cover attendance at the event at the location noted for that event. Please be sure to check in at the registration desk at the event. Check/Cash registrations must pay at the event. Workshop programs require check/cash registration payments prior to the event. Checks can be mailed to SMPS Nebraska, PO Box 390093, Omaha, NE 68139-0093. When mailing check please include registration confirmation.
Please note the refund policy below. No-shows will receive an invoice after the event. All invoices for no-shows or non-payment at the time of the event will include a $10 invoicing fee and will be due upon receipt.
REFUND POLICY
All sales are final. No refunds unless requested 3 business days prior to an event in writing or by email. Refunds for workshops require notice 5 business days prior to the event in writing or by email. There is a 15% cancellation fee for all refunds. Credits may be issued to be used for future event registrations in lieu of refund.

Join SMPS for a Stadium Tour, Baseball and Food!
Yup – that’s right, baseball season is in full swing, and this year, we can go back to the ballpark! Get an up-close look at Werner Park, home to the Omaha Storm Chaser’s baseball and Union Omaha soccer teams. Walk through the stadium with the people who know it best, Matie Cordaro, President of the Omaha Storm Chasers; Greg Garlock, DLR Group lead architect on the project; and team members from Weitz, contractors for the original ballpark. As we tour the stadium, they will talk to about what goes into building a great ballpark and awesome fan experiences, how the pandemic affected sports, and what they are doing in response to new guidelines that make ballpark outings safe and fun. Plus, learn more about what’s happening with Union Omaha soccer at Werner Park. After the tour, enjoy a ballpark-style picnic and refreshments at the Sun Valley Party Patio. The cost of dinner will be covered with your registration. Stay for networking and the baseball game- the Storm Chaser’s vs. the Lousville Bats!

Martie Cordaro is President of the Omaha Storm Chasers, Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, and of Union Omaha, the new USL League One franchise set to play in Omaha in 2020. Cordaro has been with Omaha since 2007, and was intimately involved in the research, negotiation and project management to build a ballpark for the franchise in Sarpy County, thus keeping Triple-A Baseball in the Omaha metro area. He led the process for the successful rebranding and renaming of the Omaha franchise and has headed the nine highest Omaha total revenue seasons.
In addition to orchestrating the naming rights partnership with Sarpy County-based Werner Enterprises for Werner Park, Cordaro led the organization’s efforts to host the 2015 First National Bank Triple-A All-Star Game. The Omaha Storm Chasers won back-to-back Triple-A National Championships in 2013 and 2014. Cordaro was honored as the inaugural recipient of the Omaha Sports Hall of Fame Community Service Award in 2015, was named the Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year in 2014, and Baseball America Minor League Executive of the Year in 2013.
