In today’s age of construction procurement, many professionals are tasked with business development, marketing their company’s services, assisting in preparing or responding to RFPs, and many other early project procurement activities. This program is aimed at providing insight and guidance on the legal implications of those activities so that professionals avoid pitfalls that can lead to costly outcomes to their employers. The program will address the following issues:
• RFPs - the dangers of misrepresentation;
• Proposals, Quotes and Promissory Estoppel - anatomy of contract formation;
• Laws and policies dealing with gifts and perks;
